march favorites
i feel like this is such an old school post to make, but watching favorites videos and reading about the things people love bring me so much joy.
skincare
i've finally gotten into a skincare routine that is perfect for my combination, hyperpigmentation-ridden skin. in february, i took advantage of a massive dermstore sale and bought some sunday riley products for 20% off. the sunday riley good genes and a mini ufo facial oil have been oh so good to my skin and i love them with my whole heart. my hyperpigmentation has gotten so much lighter, my skin is more balanced and noticeably brighter. i can share my full skincare routine if there's enough interest, but these have been so, so good to me.
i've also loved the everyday oil. this is a 100% plant-based oil that hydrates, nourishes, and treats the skin from head to toe. it can be used on your hair as well! all of the ingredients are easily read and understood and my skin has been thanking me for using this every day (see what i did there?)
health and wellness
my dear friend aracely helped me hop on the collagen trend over the course of this last month. because i'm a vegetarian, i needed to find a plant-based collagen instead of a beef-based one. after lots of research, i've found this one and love it. it's reasonably priced and low-waste.
i've also gotten back into using classpass this month, too. i've never been able to stick with going to the gym and using the equipment there and have found that i'm able to work out - and enjoy what i'm doing - more when it's in a class setting.
books
this month, i finished dead girls by alice bolin (click the link for my review!) and found it thoroughly enjoyable. i've also started circe by madeline miller, the author of the song of achilles, and am absolutely loving it so far. her writing is beautiful, rich, and enchanting. i was hooked from the first page.
music & podcasts
this month, i discovered the podcast ologies by alie ward from the youtuber sami maria. i love learning new things and i love podcasts so this was a win-win for me. ologies is a comedic science podcast where alie ward interviews people who study different things. i finished one about the moon, turtles, gut health, marriage, mars, ocean conservation and environmental conservation so far. ologies makes my morning commute a little easier and a lot more interesting.
